Sneak peak on what's going on
So. My updates have been, to say the least, inconsistent since the supposed "return" from hiatus. I am, again, discontent with the way things are headed. Both the holes I've dug myself into with my writing and the way (some) things were drawn in the beginning. But this time, instead of trying to devise a way for things to change from this point on, I'm going back to the beginning. I'm going to attempt to write out the entire story, page by page, before drawing or posting any (we'll see if this actually happens...).
Think of it not so much as a "retcon" but as a second draft. The original archives will still be hosted on the site as the "first draft" pages. Some will be left unchanged. Some will just have a few adjustments. Some will be completely redrawn and taken in other directions. Nothing will change too dramatically. Characters will still be basically as you know them, just with a bit more defining, and possibly slightly different backgrounds.
When I get to the point of posting pages again, I will start back with #1, posting one at a time (with an update schedule yet to be determined). I don't know when this will be yet.
In the mean time, I plan on keeping up this LJ as a "creator's blog" of sorts, posting sketches or thoughts as I get to them. Nothing too revealing as far as Synch's plot goes, though.
On a side note, I do find myself fearing what will happen when I get to a certain plot reveal towards the end of the story, second draft or no. As something similar happened in the news not too long ago, and I fear I'm going to get called out on "ripping it off." However, that specific part of the story was in the works long long ago, and the roots of it can be seen in the archives already.
